Transfer Student Orientation Program
-
What: TRANSFER STUDENT ORIENTATION PROGRAM
Who: For sophomores, juniors, and seniors who registered during spring or summer. (Freshmen should attend Warrior Welcome, the Freshman Orientation Program, on August 14th.)
Why: To welcome and provide orientation for all transfer students to Deerfield High School. With the aid of the Peer Helpers, students will receive personal assistance throughout the duration of this program. New students will receive their individual schedules for the year, have a chance to complete a template for their daily schedule, and go on a tour. Students will also be able to go to the bookstore to pick up books and receive a chromebook. They will also meet a panel of administrators about programs and services available in the school. For many of the students, this will be their first opportunity to come to the high school and meet a small group of welcoming students before the first day of school.
When: Friday, August 11, 2:00-3:00 p.m.
Where: CCRC (I-100)
