In compliance with federal testing requirements, Illinois will administer the Illinois Science Assessment to all students in Grade 11 during the week of March 13, 2023. There will be a special schedule that day. The ISA includes three sections: earth science, life science and physical science. 

The assessment will be administered in an online format and is aligned to the Illinois Learning Standards for Science incorporating the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). The ISA aligns with the State of Illinois's commitment to preparing all students for College and Career Readiness, including in the high-demand STEM fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

All students must bring their Chromebooks with them for this online exam.
