Highland Park High School offers a variety of opportunities for students to take college entrance exams, or exams that prepare them for future college entrance exams, throughout their high school career. Additionally, Highland Park High School offers a variety of Advanced Placement (AP) courses. These courses provide the foundation for students to demonstrate content specific skills on AP exams. All colleges and universities accept either the ACT or SAT for college admissions purposes. Links to these sites are below. In addition to administering the SAT, College Board also administers Subject Tests and AP examinations. Students are advised to consider both of these tests as possibilities, the exams test different abilities so students may test better on one or the other. Contact your student's counselor or consult one of the College Counselors for advice on which test is appropriate for your student.
