At the October 10, 2023 meeting, Superintendent Dr. Bruce Law announced his retirement from public education at the end of the academic year, no earlier than June 30, 2024. 

The Board held a Special Meeting on October 18, 2023, to interview the search firms selected for final consideration. At the October 24, 2023, meeting, the Board voted to approve Search Exec Connect as the firm to assist the Board in finding Dr. Law's successor as well as the Highland Park High School principal position.
