The Facilities Management Team at Township High School District 113 is committed to providing a safe environment for the community, staff and students in our care. We seek to prevent exposure to pests and pesticides and, therefore, have adopted the State of Illinois Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach to pest control and compliance with the Illinois Lawn Care Products Application and Notice Act. The IPM approach minimizes the exposure of our community, staff and students to pesticides and includes a variety of non-chemical and chemical methods to prevent and eradicate pests.
Township High School District 113 assumes the responsibility of notifying our community, staff and students of any upcoming pest and pesticide treatments. The Illinois Structural Pest Control Act, the Illinois Child Care Act, and the Illinois Lawn Care Products Application and Notice Act require prior notification to requestors when pesticide/herbicide application is scheduled for use.
