  • Parents today need a lot of support as we all experienced a pandemic and many of us have been affected by mass violence. Children and parents all need a self-care plan to manage stress.  Parenting in today’s challenging times can be rewarding and anxiety producing, fulfilling, and totally exhausting, all at the same time.  No doubt today’s children are exposed to extraordinary stressors, and they sometimes struggle to cope with isolation due to the pandemic, social media, violence, bullying and cyber-bullying, depression, alcohol and substance abuse, and exposure to traumatic events and losses.

This dynamic, nationally recognized speaker will empower parents by directly addressing some of the most difficult questions they have about raising children and most importantly, how to just plain talk with their children about what’s bothering them. Parental presence in the lives of their children is essential for overall well-being.

The World Health Organization has outlined critical factors for safeguarding youth and building resiliency and success. These factors and many helpful tips for raising children in today’s challenging world will be shared and discussed.
