Dear District 113 Community,
As many states close schools throughout the country to combat the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, every day more districts are moving instruction online. This unprecedented surge in demand for online technology from video conferencing software to Netflix is putting a strain on the resources of all technology companies.
In the last three weeks, Schoology has reported a 400-percent increase in usage. Intermittent disruptions have occurred as they scale up to meet demand. Schoology has assured all districts that their first priority is to mitigate the disruptions in service while they increase capacity.
Our IT team constantly monitors the status of all of our systems and we will continue to do that during this period of remote learning. While we expect these disruptions to lessen over time, we realize that there may be periods of interruption outside of our control. We will adapt to each challenge as best we can.
