  • The District 113 Board of Education, superintendent and principals are engaging the staff and public in work that will frame our Strategic Plan for the next five years. As of late September, nearly 500 people completed the Strategic Plan online survey. 90% of survey participants are proud or extremely proud of District 113!

    We are here to serve our community and we strive to understand and meet your needs every day. We want to stay apprised of what is important to you and therefore, we are doing our best to include our community in the Strategic Planning process. We have scheduled over 17 engagement meetings to ascertain public perspectives and priorities. 

    The dates that remain for community engagement in the Strategic Plan are listed below. Please attend or share your perspective with a friend who is attending. We want to know what you think. Thank you for making our process meaningful.

     

    October 17 from 5:00-6:30 pm at 1040 Park Avenue West – OPEN TO ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS

    October 24 from 3:30-5:00 pm at Highland Park High School in A 217—OPEN TO HPHS COMMUNITY PARTNERS SUCH AS PTOs.

    October 25 from 3:30-5:00 pm at Deerfield High School in the DHS library-- OPEN TO DHS COMMUNITY PARTNERS SUCH AS PTOs.

    October 26 from 6:30-8:00 pm at Highland Park High School in A 221—OPEN TO SPANISH SPEAKING COMMUNITY MEMBERS.

  • Results of Lab Tested Water Samples from Highland Park High School

    Water sample lab tests indicate that three fixtures at Highland Park High School, one fixture in the auditorium lobby, one fixture  outside of A342, and one fixture near the dance studio had indications of lead levels higher than the EPA’s action level. All of the fixtures that had indications on any test of elevated levels of lead above the EPA’s action level have been taken out of service and those water sources will undergo correction and further testing.

  • There will be three (3) seats to fill for the Township High School District 113 Board of Education at the April 4, 2017 election. Candidate packets are now available for community members interested in running in the April 4, 2017 Township High School District 113 Board of Education Election. Interested candidates can pick up packets and filing procedure paperwork at the Lake County Clerk's Office, 18 North County Street, Waukegan, Illinois, or at the Township High School District 113 Administrative Office, 1040 Park Avenue West, Highland Park, Illinois. Candidate materials are also available online at http://www.lakecountyil.gov/309/Petition-Packets.

    The school board candidate’s petition must be filed in the Lake County Clerk’s Office at 18 N. County Street in Waukegan starting Monday, December 12. The last date for filing is December 19, 2016. Candidates’ names will appear on the election ballot in the order in which their nominating papers are received in the Lake County Clerk’s office.
