Student Congress is a form of debate in which students write and debate bills much as the real congress does. Students learn the art of debating and practicing politics as they work to make friends and alliances. Individual and team awards are given at each tournament. Deerfield Student Congress is one of the most successful congressional debate teams in the history of the Illinois Congressional Debate Association.
