Emergency School Closures & e-Learning Days

The safety of students and staff is the first priority in District 113. For safety reasons, severe weather or other emergency may lead to the decision to close school or alter the day's schedule through a delayed start, early release or e-Learning day under the District's approved e-Learning Plan. Using the best information available at the time when the decision needs to be made, the Superintendent determines whether to close school or alter the day's schedule.

The Superintendent's decision about an emergency school closure or move to an e-Learning Day will be communicated as soon as possible but no later than 5:30 a.m. District 113 will communicate with families and staff through the following means:
