HPHS is secure; Dismissal to take place at 12:25

12:15 p.m.

Dear District 113 Community, 

Thank you for your patience while the police continue to investigate this matter. The police advised us at 12:06 that the lockdown of HPHS will end at 12:25. School will be dismissed at that time. Bus transportation will be available for students in the normal location. All after school activities and athletics are canceled. The police have done a thorough search of the building and have assured us there are no threats to our building at this time. In order to provide an orderly dismissal, law enforcement will be stationed throughout campus.

Many street closures remain. The only street open for student pick-up is Vine Street.
