Warriors Crush It -with the Demons in Town

The North Gym was the place to be as the Warriors hosted the Demons of Maine East on Thursday, December the 12th for their first home meet of the year. After nearly completing a sweep at Evanston Township the week before the girls were ready for business in their own gym.

The varsity competition started off on the vault where the Warriors found their rhythm compiling a season high 33.35 points on the event. They were led by senior Emma Kerstein's 8.5 Tsukahara. On to the uneven bars the Warriors were able to pick up some momentum with great performances by sophomore Riley Soroka, junior Serafina Gargiulo and senior Emma Kerstein. They totaled just over 30.0 points to win the event. Solid performances on the balance beam for the team was evident- the girls stuck 4 out of 5 routines. Season high scores for both sophomore Hannah Agins and Junior Jenna Ritzert help lead the way. Finishing up on the floor exercise was a special treat for the crowd as they watched the Warriors rock the house and close the doors on the Demons posting 34.45 on the event.

The Warriors will be back home in January 9th  against the Vikings of Niles North at 5:30pm.
