Wrestling Team Places 4th in state

After beating Barrington in Team Sectionals at Rockford East High school, the Warriors earned a trip Bloomington, Normal for Team State.  Qualifying for team state earns you a place in the Elite 8.  The 2015 varsity wrestling team also earned an Elite 8 finish but lost to Lockport in the quarterfinals by 3 points. This year we drew Conant HS in the first round.  After wrestling a great match, the Wrestling Warriors prevailed winning by a score of 45-12.  The Warriors made it to the semi-finals against #5 ranked Montini.  The Warriors fell to Montini 41-27.  The Warriors wrestled LWW for third place.  The Warriors ended their great run with a 39-15 loss in the 3rd place match.

Deerfield Wrestling finishes 4th in state.
