6 Wrestlers Advance to State....Again!

For the second year in a row, the Warriors advanced 6 wrestlers to the State Tournament at the University of Illinois. The Warriors tied with Rockton Hononegah for the most state qualifiers at the Barrington Sectional. The following Warriors placed top 4 to advance to state.

Reece Heller (Fr.) 106 pounds 2nd

Holden Heller (So.) 113 pounds 1st

Nick Kupets (Sr.) 126 pounds 4th 2x state qualifier

Kenny Kerstein (So.) 132 pounds 1st

Andrew Mehrholz (Sr.) 145 pounds 4x state qualifier 2x placer

Sage Heller (Sr.) 170 pounds 3x state qualifier

The team will compete on Tuesday, February 23 at Grant HS against Rockton Hononegah for team sectionals.
