Peer Helping
-
Over seventy-five students are trained as Peer Helpers at Deerfield High School. Deerfield High School Peer Helping is an organization where students learn communication and problem solving skills in order to help themselves and others. Peer Helpers begin their year by helping transfer students transition into DHS. Each transfer atudent is assigned one or two Peer Helpers who will guide the transfer student to and from classes, introduce the transfer student to teachers, activities, and other school events and services. The Peer Helper's goal is to help the transfer student to acclimate to DHS.
