As part of scheduled grounds maintenance, Deerfield High School will have lawn and landscape treatment services taking place on Friday, April 3, 2026 & Saturday, April 4, 2026, weather permitting.
These treatments will be performed by our licensed contractor to support the health, safety, and long-term condition of our campus grounds.
Scope of Services:
- Turf Fertilization across grounds and athletic fields
- Pre-emergent application across campus ground and athletic fields
- Granular pre-emergent application in designated areas and mulch bed areas. Including locations with plats, shrubs, flowers, and trees near building entrances.
Safety & Compliance:
- All applications are performed by certified professionals under Illinois state regulations and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices.
- Lawn flags will be placed at all campus entrances and throughout treated areas with re-entry instructions, remaining until areas are safe to access.
- Access to certain parts of campus will be restricted as necessary.
- All products are applied according to manufacturer instructions; Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are available upon request.
Integrated Pest Management Notice:
High School District 113 follows IPM practices, combining preventative techniques with products least harmful to human health and the environment. The State of Illinois requires notification at least 96 hours prior to any pesticide application.
