Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Donielle Escalante
Hello! 您好！שלום! Bonjour! ¡Hola!
My name is Donielle Escalante, and it is my great privilege and honor to serve as Deerfield High School's World Languages Department Chair! I am also VERY fortunate to teach Bridging ELL English during 1st period and AP Spanish during 2nd period, and I have a fabulous first-year homeroom as well.
This is my 2nd year at Deerfield High School and my 20th as an educator. I have taught many, many wonderful students from ages K to adult in a wide variety of places such as Prince William County in Virginia, Palatine's Community Consolidated School District 15, ITESM Campus Guadalajara in Mexico, and Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, where I served as both an ELL/Spanish Teacher and ELL Department Coordinator.
My undergraduate degree from The George Washington University in Washington, DC is in Latin American Studies and Spanish. I have a master's degree (also from GW) in Secondary Education and a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University.
In addition to my administrator certification, I am certified to teach Spanish, ELL, and Bilingual Education from grades K through 12. I have served as an adjunct professor at Elmhurst College and am currently an adjunct instructor at Harper College as well. I am also a local, state, and national speaker.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me via e-mail at email@example.com or by phone at 847-632-3181 if I can be of assistance and/or answer any questions for you.
