Print and online magazines, newspapers and "free" Internet sites are the best sources to use when looking for current event articles. Use the following guide to help determine which is the best source to fit your needs. All sources are available through the library home page. |

| Print magazines and newspapers are available at the circulation desk in the library and are helpful for browsing to get ideas. Newspaper titles include The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun Times, USA Today, and the Highland Park News. Magazine titles include Newsweek, Time, U.S. News & World Report and Macleans. | "Free" Internet sites give up-to-date news from a variety of new sources. From the Library Home Page, go to Subject Links-->Newspapers to link to local, national and international news sources. Includes The New York Times Online, TIME, BBC, The Chicago Tribune, Today's Papers and others. | Online

| General Reference Center Gold - Contains hundreds of magazine titles. When searching by the country name, use the "Narrow by Subdivision" option to narrow the search focus. | ||
| eLibrary - Has an "international" flavor of titles. Includes The New York Times. | ||
| World News Digest - News stories since 1940. Special features include The Year's Top Stories, Reuter's News (last two weeks), Today's News, and World Press Links. | ||
