“Fill-Up
Station”
for Water
Bottles!!!
WHAT
The Fill-Up
Station is a water dispenser that is designed specifically for water
bottles. Clean, cold water is dispensed quickly into your water
bottles.
WHERE
The Fill-Up
Station is located in the cafeteria hallway, outside the student
cafeteria.
WHY
Students in the
Freshman Academy, as well as the Green School Initiative, are working
to help transform HPHS into an environmentally friendly high school.
Disposable plastic water bottles, which many students purchase each day,
are terrible for the environment. Disposable water bottles require a
great deal of energy to produce, they are made of plastic that does not
biodegrade, and thus, if not recycled, take up space in our
landfills. You can play a part in helping the environment by choosing
to bring a permanent water bottle to school, and to fill it each day at
our Fill-Up Station. By choosing not to purchase and use
disposable water bottles, you will help to reduce the amount of waste
that is generated at HPHS each day!
