Freshman Advisory Outcomes

  1. Become acclimated to Deerfield High School – the schedule, course offerings, people, academic and social cultures, and resources.
  2. Participate in a collaborative, respectful, inclusive, and reflective learning environment to build self and social awareness.
  3. Learn about and utilize a variety of study skills in order to support academic success.
  4. Apply effective and flexible communication skills for academic success.
  5. Understand the connections between decisions and consequences as a way to make healthy choices and demonstrate First Class behaviors.
  6. Demonstrate responsible citizenship through community service activities and interactions with others.
  7. Take part in the development of a 4-year plan as a way to meet course requirements and match courses options to interests and future plans.
  8. Examine personal abilities, interests, and goals to plan for the future.

Note: The District 113 Belief Statement and Learning for Life Abilities were used
in developing the outcomes and lessons for Freshman Advisory.
