How to report scores
- It is the student’s responsibility
to have official scores sent to all colleges.
- Most colleges
require official score reports sent directly from the testing agency.
- Students may
report scores by 1) indicating a college as a score recipient at the time
of registration 2) requesting by phone or 3) requesting online
- Include the
correct college codes for each college; SAT/ACT use different college codes.
- ACT policy allows
students to select a specific test score(s) to be sent to colleges.

If the Optional Essay is taken
then this score will also be released with the ACT
- SAT automatically
releases all SAT: Reasoning Test/SAT: Subject Test scores on record for a
student once a student requests the release of any SAT score.
- It takes 3-6 weeks to release
official scores. Be mindful of timelines and deadlines.
- DHS transcript
can report up to 3 SAT Subject Tests and 1 ACT and/or SAT if requested.
- Scores reported
on transcripts are not considered official.
- DHS does
not release any SAT or ACT without a signed request from the student or parent
if the student is under 18.
- Test scores are recorded on
the student’s permanent record for counseling purposes only.
