Grade Replacement

If a student chooses to repeat a course, only the higher of the two grades will be counted for GPA.  Both attempts will appear on the transcript: the lower grade will be replaced with the non-credit symbol "R".

Students may repeat only those courses where the original grade is "C+" or below, and must repeat the course no later than the next school year.  Students must request this option by filing a form with their counselor prior to the end of the fifth week of the semester.  Approval by parent, department chair and counselor is required.  See your counselor for more details.
